Nothing Bundt Cakes hosts ribbon cutting in Lynchburg

Saga and Dean Morse have opened up a new Nothing Bundt Cakes location on Route 221. Eager to become a part of the community, they chose to kick off the store in Lynchburg because of their son's attendance at Liberty University. 20% of the proceeds from the grand opening were donated to Park View Community Mission.

‘The Show’ Returns: Faculty and Staff to Perform for Randolph University Students in Talent(less) Show

A beloved tradition of faculty-led fun returns to Randolph University February 28th. This year's theme is inspired by the Netflix show Stranger Things, set to feature over 80 staff performers and 20 different acts. The talent(less) show dates back to 1915 and is now an anticipated event at the university every four years.

Woman jumps into French Broad River to save drowning dog

Riu, a two-year-old poodle mix, was saved by a heroic woman after falling into the French Broad River. This woman witnessed the dog struggling under the current and jumped in to help him: braving the high waters and freezing temperature. Both are now safe and healthy, with Riu being taken in by a loving foster family.
